Hafnarfjall

This is the mountain thats easily visible from snæfellsjokull in good weather. The nearest town is borgarness and the photo is taken from the harbor. This mountain is an old and realy big volcanic system that has not eruptet for 5 million years. The old lava camber is almost visible in the form of gabbro and granophyr rocks that are all over the mountain. I recomend not to go near the mountain in winds that come from the north or the south becs the steep hills of the mountain accelerate the wind to great speeds.
